Cancellation policies
till 8 days prior arrival: no cancellation fee
from 7 days prior arrival: 70 % of the confirmed room rate
2 days prior arrival / no show / early check out: 80 % of the confirmed room rate
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: Our cancellation conditions do not apply to the period over Christmas & New Year from 21.12. until 06.01. of every year! We kindly ask you to ask the hotel about the cancellation conditions for Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
Location
Our hotel is located just outside the village of Schönau am Königssee, on a mountain slope at 700 m above sea level. The hotel’s own forest and meadow area of 6 hectares stretches around the Alpenhof. The Alpenhof is 4 km from the center of Berchtesgaden and 2 km from the Königssee.
Hotel
We can accommodate up to 102 guests in 7 single rooms, 41 double – superior- and deluxe-rooms – and 4 family apartments. We are officially classified with 4 stars superior by the German hotel association.
Rooms
All 51 rooms in our house are non-smoking rooms for the benefit of our guests. All rooms are equipped with bath or shower, toilet, hair dryer, towels, shampoo, soap, radio, mini fridge, satellite-tv (50 channels, pay-tv Sky-Film, Sky Sports and Sky German premier league ), telephone, bathrobes and slippers. All double rooms have German double beds with the measurements of 1,80 x 2,00 or 2,10 meters – splitted in 2 mattresses – the Edelweiß-category has twin beds.
Board/ Food
All prices shown on our website include breakfast, cake buffet in the afternoon and 5-course-dinner. Beverages are not included. If you like to book the room without the dinner, we reduce the price at EUR 28.- starting per person/day. Breakfast and snack/ cake buffet is obligatory.
Directions/ Arrival
We recommend you to travel by your own car, because there is no public transportation nearby- the closest bus station is 1 kilometer away. Because of the short distances to all the sights, local taxi services are not too expensive. We can also help you with car rentals.

Alpine SPA – sauna area
Our sauna world, with access for guests over the age of 16, is open for you daily from 11:00 to 20:00 and offers the following facilities:

The rooms are available at 15:00. If you should arrive later than 20:00, please let us know!

Wellness-Late-Check-Out:
Would you like to use our wellness & SPA area on the day of your departure? You are welcome to do this after your room has been released and for an additional charge of EUR 26.00 (per person). Our wellness area is available to you until 20:00 including a tea bar and a lunch and cake buffet.

Dogs
We would be happy to welcome your four-legged friend with us. Please note, however, that this is only possible by appointment and only in selected rooms. € 15.00 to 25.00 per day and depending on the size of your animal without food will be charged.
